From October 21 to 22, 2021, Messe Munich (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. held the Labtech China Congress 2021 in Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai. The conference invited 100+ domestic and foreign industry experts and enterprise representatives to discuss the green and intelligent development of the laboratory in the future.
On the morning of October 22nd, the parallel forum Sustainable Lab (2) -- International Insight into Sustainability, co-organized by Beijing Dynaflow Lab Solutions Co., Ltd, was held in pudong banquet hall. The meeting was chaired by Chi Haipeng, chairman of Beijing Dynaflow Lab Solutions Co., Ltd.
The forum has just started, attracting industry guests from all over the country to exchange and learn.
At the forum, Chi Haipeng, Chairman of Beijing Dynaflow Lab Solutions Co., Ltd, delivered an important speech titled New Trends in Sustainable Laboratory Design and Planning. He gives a brief analysis of what is a sustainable laboratory and how to ensure the implementation of sustainable laboratories while ensuring special needs and safety through international laboratory development trends.
Song Bingqi, Head of Laboratory Design at Perkins&Will, introduced the future-oriented elastic laboratory. He believes that scientific research and innovation in the era of capital requires highly specialized flexible laboratory space and community communication space for government, industry and business studies.Through the case study of biomedicine in Shanghai Zhangjiang and robot manufacturing in Dongguan Songshan Lake, this paper analyzes how the future elastic laboratory can combine scientific research and social interaction to provide power for innovation.
Zhu Feng, Project Director of QED introduced the preliminary planning of scientific research facilities and real estate from five aspects: the preliminary business planning of the project, the profit model of the project, the facility management of the project, the risk management of the facility operation of the project and the composition of the consulting service team.
Zhang Zhentian, Chief Representative of Feiwei Energy Saving Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in China, analyzed the future of fresh air conditioning in active heat recovery laboratory from three aspects: the concept of active heat recovery, the solution of customer pain points and the analysis of customer investment recovery.
NREL Principal Engineer Otto Daniel Van Geet, Energy Engineer Rachel Romero, and investigator Amanda Kirkeby detailed the I2SL Smart Lab Toolkit: Enabling High-performance LABS.They argue that advanced research has certain risks that must be effectively avoided in order to maintain a safe working environment for researchers. As a result, the laboratory is an expensive and complex building, and its proper operation is somewhat challenging. On average, the laboratory consumes 10 times more energy than a commercial building of similar size.In laboratory construction, up to 50% of energy consumption is wasted by inefficient ventilation systems, which do not effectively reduce the risk of laboratory space.Optimizing the performance of new or existing laboratories for stakeholders guiding key research facilities can provide a straightforward and comprehensive approach to dynamic, high-performance laboratories through smart laboratory tools. The toolkit follows the different stages of the Smart Lab process: planning, evalsuation, optimization, and management. There are corresponding resources for each stage, including case studies, training and videos, and highlighting key technologies and strategies learned from smart Lab partners.
During the Q&A session, the audience raised questions on sustainable laboratory design, construction and management, and interacted with the speakers.
At present, laboratory design, construction and management in China are in a new stage of rapid development.Improving the level of laboratory design and construction in China and promoting the continuous improvement of the experimental environment of scientific research, education, environmental monitoring, testing and medical treatment in China are important trends of laboratory development in the future.
